Music Makers at the Keyboard
· All piano classes are weekly lessons.
· Ages 7 to 10 years, grouped by experience
(age 6 sometimes, if studied with me at least one year)
Group piano (3-4 students) - 60 minutes, including parent
Semi private (2 students) - 45 minutes, including parent
Private - 60 minutes, includes parent
Students literally run into their piano class, excited to show teacher and classmates the songs they discovered how to play by their own musical ears!
As graduates of Music Makers Around the World (5-7yo), they will continue to develop their musical ears and expand their music-reading, as the music in their heads comes out of their fingers at the piano/keyboard. Older newcomers will discover how natural it is to become musical and to play with ease.
Games, singing, and movement are a part of every lesson. The group experience capitalizes on children's delight in making music with others, and greatly enhances the skills of rhythmic competency, listening, and music-reading far beyond what a "private" experience offers.
Each student should have a keyboard or piano at home for practicing, and a CD-player nearby for interactive playing and listening.
